1. The Scriptures Inspired
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.
(2 Tim. 3:15–17; 2 Pet. 1:20–21; Rev. 22:18–19; Matt. 24:35; Ps. 119:89; 1 Pet. 1:25)
2. The One True God
a. The One True God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM” (Exod. 3:14). The Godhead consists of three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Ghost—who are united as one Triune God.
(Gen. 1:26; 11:5–7; Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isa. 43:10–11; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 John 5:7; Isa. 9:6)
b. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. He ascended to Heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor. Jesus Christ is Almighty God.
(John 1:18; 3:16; Luke 1:30–35; Matt. 1:18–22; Acts 4:10; 2:27, 34–35; Heb. 4:14; 7:25–26; 8:1; 10:12; Rev. 1:8; 4:8; 1 Tim. 3:16)
3. Man, His Fall, and Redemption
We believe that man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” But by voluntary transgression, man fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
(Gen. 1:26–27; Ps. 8:4–6; Rom. 3:23–24)
4. Repentance Toward God
We believe that repentance is a godly sorrow for sin accompanied by a renunciation of it.
(Acts 3:19; 20:21; 2 Cor. 7:10–11; Mark 1:15; 2 Chron. 7:14; Ezek. 18:30–32; Acts 2:38; 17:30)
5. Restitution
We believe that the Word of God teaches that wrongs committed against others must be righted when possible. A clear conscience toward God and man includes restoring what has been defrauded, stolen, or slandered, paying back debts, and making confession.
(Lev. 6:4; Ezek. 33:15; Luke 19:8–9; Rev. 2:5; 3:3, 19)
6. Justification and Regeneration
We believe that justification is the act of God’s grace whereby we receive remission of sins and stand before Him as though we had never sinned.
(Acts 13:39; Rom. 3:24–26; 5:1; 4:5; 1 Cor. 6:2; 2 Cor. 5:17, 21; Gal. 3:24; John 1:12–13; Titus 3:5; 1 Pet. 1:13)
7. Sanctification (Holiness)
We believe that entire sanctification is the act of God’s grace by which we are made holy. It is the second definite work, wrought by the blood of Jesus through faith, subsequent to salvation and regeneration.
(John 17:15–17; 1 Thess. 4:3–7; 5:23; Heb. 2:11; 12:14; 13:12; 1 John 1:7; Luke 1:74–75; 2 Cor. 7:1; 1 Pet. 1:15–16; Eph. 5:26–27)
8. Water Baptism
We believe in baptism by immersion “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost,” as commanded by Jesus.
(Matt. 28:19; 3:16; Acts 8:37–38; Rom. 6:3–5; Col. 2:12; Mark 16:15–16; Gal. 3:27–28)
9. Baptism of the Holy Ghost
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost is the enduement of power from on high upon a clean, sanctified life, with speaking in unknown tongues as a visible sign.
(Luke 24:49; 11:13; Matt. 3:11; John 7:37–39; 14:16–17, 26; Acts 1:4, 8; 2:1–4, 33; 10:44–47; 19:6)
10. Separation
We believe that the children of God are called to “come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord.
(Lev. 20:24–26; Gen. 12:1; 2 Cor. 6:14–18; Acts 2:40; Deut. 7:1–7; Ps. 1:1–2; 4:3; Isa. 52:11; Rev. 18:4)
11. Sufferings
We believe that sufferings are essential for the perfection of the saints, shaping them into the likeness of Christ.
- To test faith: (1 Pet. 1:7)
- To become heirs with Christ: (Rom. 8:17–18)
- To remove carnal nature: (Ezek. 22:17–21; Zech. 13:9; Mal. 3:2–3; Heb. 2:10)
- To comfort others: (2 Cor. 1:4–7)
12. Prosperity
We believe that God desires His children to prosper spiritually above all else. Earthly prosperity is not to be pursued as a primary goal.
(3 John 2; James 4:4; Matt. 6:19–34; 7:7–11; John 15:7; Col. 3:1–3; James 4:2–3; Phil. 4:7)
13. Faith Ministry
We believe that a servant of God, called by Him, should live by faith and not beg for money. God will provide. If needed, one should work, as Paul did.
(Matt. 10:5–14; Acts 18:1–4; 20:32–35; 1 Thess. 2:9; Isa. 61:6)
14. The Bride of Christ – The Church
We believe that the Bride of Christ comprises saints who grow to the perfection of Christ. Three experiences mark their journey:
- Seeing the Kingdom: (John 3:3)
- Entering the Kingdom: (John 3:5)
- Inheriting the Kingdom: (Gal. 5:19–21)
15. The Lord’s Supper and Washing of the Disciples’ Feet
We believe Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper to “show the Lord’s death till He comes.” We also follow His example in washing one another’s feet.
(1 Cor. 11:23–26; Luke 22:17–20; Matt. 26:26–29; Acts 2:42; 20:7, 11; John 13:14–15)
16. Divine Healing
We believe that healing is provided for God’s people in the atonement of Christ.
(Isa. 53:4–5; Matt. 8:17; Mark 16:18; James 5:14–16; Luke 13:16; Ps. 41:3–4; Acts 10:38; Ex. 15:26; Num. 12:13; Deut. 7:15; Ps. 103:3; Isa. 33:24)
17. The Second Coming of Jesus
We believe that Jesus’ return will be literal and visible, first to catch away His waiting Bride.
(Acts 1:9–11; John 14:3; Heb. 9:28; Rev. 16:15; 19:7–8; 22:12; 3:10; 1 Thess. 4:15–17; 5:1–9)
18. The Judgment of Saints
We believe that saints will appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive rewards according to their deeds.
(2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Cor. 3:10–14)
19. The Great Tribulation
We believe that a period of Great Tribulation will occur between Christ’s return for His Bride and His return in judgment.
(Matt. 24:21, 29; Rev. chs. 6–13; Mark 13:29; Jer. 30:7; Dan. 12:1)
20. Christ’s Millennial Reign
We believe in the literal 1000-year reign of Christ on earth following His return with His saints. During this time, Satan will be bound and peace will prevail.
(Jude 14–15; 2 Thess. 1:7–10; Rev. 5:10; 11:15; 20:2–6; Zech. 14:9; Dan. 2:44; Isa. 11:6–9; 65:25; Hos. 2:18; Isa. 2:2–4)
21. The Great White Throne Judgment
We believe God will finally judge the living and the dead according to their works.
(Rev. 20:11–14; Dan. 12:2; Acts 10:42; Heb. 9:27; John 5:27–28)
22. Eternal Heaven and Eternal Hell
We believe that Heaven and Hell are both eternal. The wicked shall be cast into the lake of fire for eternity.
(Matt. 25:41–46; Rev. 14:10–11; Luke 16:24; Mark 9:43–44; Rev. 21:9; 20:15; Isa. 66:24; 14:4–11; Matt. 13:42; Rev. 19:20; 20:10)
23. The New Heaven and the New Earth
We believe that the current earth, corrupted by sin, will pass away. God will create a new heaven and new earth where righteousness will dwell.
(Matt. 24:35; 2 Pet. 3:12–13; Rev. 21:1–3; Isa. 65:17; 66:22)
